Resumen
El objetivo de este estudio fue demostrar la viabilidad de usar el recurso eólico para
producción de energía a nivel urbano. La investigación fue mixta, con una metodología
explicativa y descriptiva. Además, tiene un enfoque transversal en un período específico. La
cualitativa se utilizó la herramienta VOSviewer, y términos de búsqueda para identificar los
conceptos más notables. La cuantitativa, tuvo una muestra de 102 familias participantes. Los
resultados indican que la ciudad de Guayaquil tiene un recurso eólico ideal para aplicar la
energía del viento con velocidades de 4.73 m/s y mediante la matriz Pugh se determinó que
el modelo de aerogenerador óptimo para el área urbana es el de eje vertical con movimiento
axial de miniturbinas eólicas. Las conclusiones determinaron que existe potencial
significativo en la generación de la energía eólica, respaldado por beneficios
medioambientales y la diversificación de la matriz energética según el objetivo de desarrollo
sostenible 7.
