dc.description.abstractPrótesis es un artificio destinado a reemplazar un órgano perdido por un paciente, restaurando la estética y función. La Prótesis dental es un artificio destinado a reemplazar una pieza dental perdida por un paciente, la cual será anclada a piezas remanentes en boca y no podrá ser retirada a voluntad, solo con una condición clínica así lo requiera el paciente, ésta operación es realizada por el Odontólogo. La Prótesis dental fija es el arte y la ciencia de restaurar con metal y/o material estético los tejidos dentarios que han sido dañados por la presencia de caries o restituir dientes ausentes en la boca de un paciente. La prótesis fija se divide en Prótesis Fija Unitaria y Prótesis Fija Plural. El objetivo de la presente trabajo de investigación bibliográfica es determinar la correcta preparación de los muñones dentarios utilizando una técnica adecuada puesto que el problema más frecuente de los fracasos de las prótesis fijas unitarias es la inadecuada preparación de los dientes pilares y el desconocimiento de cuáles son las características que deben presentar para obtener una buena retención y adaptación en la cavidad bucal. Autores como Shillenburg, Carvajal, Stanley D. Tylman manifiestan que se debe utilizar diferentes tipos de preparación para lograr la retención en dientes anteriores y posteriores, con lo cual se conseguirá cumplir los requisitos mecánicos, estéticos y biológicos que permitirán elaborar una buena prótesis y longevidad de la misma. El propósito del presente trabajo es determinar las características clínicas del muñón dentario durante la etapa de ejecución de una prótesis fija unitaria en dientes anteriores y posteriores.es_ES
dc.description.abstractProsthesis is a device designed to replace a lost a patient body , restoring aesthetics and function. The dental prosthesis is a device intended to replace a tooth lost by a patient, which will be anchored to remaining teeth in the mouth and can not be withdrawn at will, just with a clinical condition as required by the patient, this operation is performed by the dentist . Fixed Dental Prosthetics is the art and science of restoring with metal and / or aesthetic material dental tissues that have been damaged by the presence of cavities or restore missing teeth in the mouth of a patient. The fixed prosthesis is divided into Fixed Prosthesis and Fixed Prosthodontics Unitarian Plural . The objective of this bibliographic research is to determine the correct preparation of tooth stumps using a suitable technique since the most common problem of failure of unit fixed prostheses is the inadequate preparation of the abutment teeth and ignorance of what they are the quality requirements for good retention and adaptation in the oral cavity. Authors like Shillenburg , Carvajal, D. Stanley Tylman indicating that one should use different types of preparation to achieve retention in anterior and posterior teeth , which are able to fulfill mechanical , biological and aesthetic requirements that will produce a good prosthesis and longevity of it .
