| dc.description.abstract | Las personas que fuman, conocido mundialmente como tabaquismo, es sin duda uno de los factores más negativos y muy influyentes a nivel local y sistémico en cuanto a salud y bienestar general se refiere, y se lo lleva al campo odontológico, la incidencia de este hábito provoca efectos negativos a nivel periodontal. Se realizó una investigación de campo con el objetivo, de cuantificar y describir la percepción y el pensamiento de las personas fumadoras y no fumadoras sobre este tema; y prevenir, que éste hábito a más de ser perjudicial para la salud corporal, tiene efectos negativos y su incidencia en el periodonto es bastante negativa, la incidencia periodontal de este hábito, incluso puede llegar a provocar de manera directa e indirecta la pérdida de piezas dentarias íntegras. El tabaquismo etiológicamente interviene en la evolución de la enfermedad periodontal, ya que participa en la formación de placa bacteriana y provoca una reacción inflamatoria, ya que los agentes nocivos y tóxicos del tabaco provocan aquello, además el tabaquismo provoca reacción y actividad de los osteoclastos, promoviendo la destrucción ósea. A nivel general de la boca, el tabaco influye de manera negativa a la salud de todos los elementos y estructuras que la componen y por ende causa alteraciones en el estadio normal de salud | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | People who smoke, known worldwide as smoking habit, have undoubtedly one of the most negative and very influential factors at local and systemic level in terms of general health and well-being, and take it to the dental field. The incidence of this habit causes negative effects at periodontal level. A field investigation was carried out with the objective of quantifying and describing the perception and thinking of smokers and non-smokers on this subject; and also teach and make known, that this habit, more than being detrimental to the body health, has negative effects and its incidence in the periodontium is quite negative. The periodontal incidence of this habit, can even come to provoke in a direct way and indirect loss of whole teeth. Smoking etiologically intervenes in the evolution of periodontal disease, as it participates in the formation of bacterial plaque and provokes an inflammatory reaction, because the harmful and toxic agents of tobacco cause that. In addition to smoking, it provokes reaction and activity of osteoclasts, promoting bone destruction. At general level of the mouth, the tobacco influences in a negative way to the health of all the elements and structures that compose it and thus causes alterations in the normal stage of health. | es_ES |
