dc.description.abstractEl cantón La Maná, provincia de Cotopaxi, deposita sus residuos sólidos no peligrosos en el relleno sanitario del cantón Quevedo, reduciendo su vida útil; por tanto, el GAD Municipal del cantón Quevedo solicitó al GAD Municipal del cantón La Maná que encuentre otro sitio para la disposición final de dichos residuos; la presente investigación plantea la evaluación y diseño de un relleno sanitario para residuos sólidos no peligrosos generados en el cantón antes citado. Para dimensionar el relleno sanitario nos basamos en datos del PDOT 2021, producción Per Cápita, Informe Técnico del AME (Asociación de Municipalidades Ecuatorianas), para determinar el volumen de generación de residuos sólidos no peligrosos, área del relleno sanitario, geometría de fardos, y estimación de gases mediante un software utilizado en Centroamérica. Para el cálculo de proyección de población futura se usó el método geométrico y, la selección del sitio se basó en criterios considerados del TULSMA.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe canton of La Maná, province of Cotopaxi, deposits its non-hazardous solid waste in the sanitary landfill of the Quevedo canton, reducing its useful life; therefore, the Municipal GAD of the Quevedo canton requested the Municipal GAD of the La Maná canton to find another site for the final disposal of said waste; the present research proposes the evaluation and design of a sanitary landfill for non-hazardous solid waste generated in the aforementioned canton. To size the landfill we rely on data from the PDOT 2021, per capita production, Technical Report of the AME (Association of Ecuadorian Municipalities), to determine the volume of generation of non-hazardous solid waste, area of the landfill, geometry of bales, and estimation of gases using software used in Central America. For the calculation of future population projection, the geometric method was used and the selection of the site was based on criteria considered by the TULSMA.es_ES
