dc.description.abstractLa cirrosis hepática es una de las enfermedades con mayor incidencia de mortalidad en la población mundial, según la OMS hay 800.000 muertes anuales a nivel mundial. En Ecuador de acuerdo a las estadísticas del INEC del 2013 nos refiere una mortalidad del 3.18%; Es la octava causa de muerte en nuestro país, debido a la aparición de hemorragia digestiva alta por rotura de varices esofágicas (INEC 32 fallecidos en Guayaquil). La presente investigación se realizó desde un enfoque prospectivo, descriptivo, de corte transversal, donde se realizó un estudio de los pacientes con Hemorragias digestiva alta por rotura de varices esofágicas en paciente cirróticos ingresados a tratamiento médico al servicio de medicina interna área de gastroenterología en el hospital Abel Gilbert Pontón del 2010-2015. El objetivo de este trabajo fue establecer la evaluación de diagnóstico y tratamiento a tiempo para evitar la rotura de varices esofágicas, corregir las hemorragias varicosas agudas y disminuir la mortalidad por esta complicación. Se investigó con el método de diagnóstico clínico y de laboratorio. En base a este trabajo investigativo se ha llegado a la conclusión que el método para llegar al diagnóstico oportuno es la endoscopia esofagogástrica para evitar a tiempo la rotura de varices esofágica y a la vez medir la GPVH, se estudió 128 casos clínicos del cual el 30% se realizaron de manera oportuna la endoscopia esofagogástrica y el 70% llegaron a emergencia sin previo examen endoscópico, el cual 40% recibieron tratamiento farmacológico asociado con ligadura de vasos esofágicoses_ES
dc.description.abstractLiver cirrhosis is a disease with higher incidence of mortality in the world population, according to WHO there are 800,000 deaths annually worldwide. In Ecuador according to statistics from INEC 2013 we refer mortality 3.18%; It is the eighth leading cause of death in our country, due to the occurrence of upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage due to rupture of esophageal varices (INEC 32 killed in Guayaquil). This research was carried out from a prospective, descriptive, crosssectional approach, where a study of patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding was performed by rupture of esophageal varices in cirrhotic patients admitted to medical treatment internal medicine service area of gastroenterology at Abel Gilbert Ponton hospital 2010-2015. The aim of this study was to establish the diagnostic evaluation and treatment in time to prevent rupture of esophageal varices, correct acute variceal bleeding and reduce mortality from this complication. It was investigated by the method of clinical and laboratory diagnosis. Based on this research work it has concluded that the method to arrive at timely diagnosis is the esophagogastric endoscopy to prevent early rupture of esophageal varices and simultaneously measuring the HVPG, 128 clinical which cases studied 30% They were made in a timely manner esophagogastric endoscopy and 70% reached emergency without prior endoscopic examination, which 40% received pharmacological treatment associated with ligation of esophageal vesselses_ES
