| dc.description.abstract | El concepto de efecto férula ha cambiado con el paso de los años, ya que con las restauraciones adhesivas se logra este efecto cuando se usan postes de fibra. La odontología mínimamente invasiva intenta un cambio en la forma de pensar y de actuar cuando se rehabilitan dientes tratados endodónticamente; se trata del respeto sistemático a las estructuras dentales, ya que ellas formarán parte del efecto férula. La perdida de las piezas dentales puede ocasionar cambios fisiológicas y físicos en el individuo uno de esos cambios es la deficiencia masticatoria. El mayor problema que presentan las personas no solo los adultos mayores si no personas jóvenes es la perdida de piezas dentales pero con mayor frecuencia se observa en el adulto mayor. Para el efecto férula deberá contar por lo menos con 2 milímetros de estructura dental sana en 360o y 1 milímetro de grosor, garantizando que la restauración protésica abrace el muñón remanente. Con suficiente efecto férula se evita la descementación de la restauración o la fractura radicular, garantizando el éxito de la restauración a largo plazo. Hay un efecto antiestético en la cara por la pérdida ósea y un mayor riesgo de fractura del cuerpo mandíbula debido a la atrofia del tejido ósea. | es_ES |

Minimally invasive dentistry tries a change in thinking and acting as endodontically treated teeth are rehabilitated; it is the systematic respect for dental structures, since they form part of the ferrule effect. The loss of teeth can cause physiological and physical changes in the individual one of those changes is the masticatory deficiency. The biggest problem people have not only the elderly if not young people is the loss of teeth but most often seen in the elderly. For this purpose splint must have at least 2 millimeters healthy tooth structure 360th and 1 millimeter thick, ensuring that the prosthetic restoration embrace the remaining stump.
