dc.description.abstractEste trabajo de investigación se realiza con el objetivo de identificar las malformaciones congénitas que se producen por el abuso de sustancias psicotrópicas, la importancia de informar a las gestantes sobre las consecuencias del consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas al feto, el consumo de drogas es uno de los principales problemas más graves que afecta a la sociedad, siendo posible su prevención a través de la educación a la población en general y a la mujer en edad fértil, sobre los efectos teratogénicos de estas sustancias psicotrópicas. Las anomalías congénitas se definen como anormalidades de la estructura o función que están presentes al nacer y son de origen prenatal, la utilización de drogas ilegales y/o legales por parte de la mujer embarazada conlleva una situación de alto riesgo para la madre, el feto y el recién nacido (RN). Este trabajo investigativo se realizó en base a una investigación no experimental, retrospectivo con enfoque cualitativo observacional y descriptivo de corte transversal, donde la recolección de datos se hizo a través de las historias clínicases_ES
