Resumen
En esta tesis realizamos el estudio del impacto que ocasionaría el uso de dinero virtual en las economías de América Latina, empezamos describiendo el panorama económico de la región, desde los puntos más relevantes de la historia económica hasta llegar a la situación actual y perspectivas de crecimiento; luego estudiamos el alcance de dos monedas virtuales utilizadas actualmente como son el Bitcoin y el Sistema Unitario de Compensación Regional de Pagos SUCRE, nombrando el uso también del dinero plástico como tarjetas de débito y crédito, por último, analizamos el contexto del uso del dinero virtual, sus ventajas y desventajas, las normativas actuales en algunos países de la región, la reacción de sus habitantes y la funcionalidad en el Ecuador
In this thesis, we conducted the study of the impact entailed in the use of virtual money in the economies of Latin America, began describing the economic landscape of the region, from the most relevant points of economic history to reach the current situation and growth prospects ; then study the range of two virtual currencies currently used such as the Bitcoin and Unitary System Regional Payments SUCRE, naming the use also of plastic money as debit cards and credit Finally, we analyze the context of the use of virtual money , its advantages and disadvantages, current regulations in some countries in the region, the reaction of its inhabitants and functionality in Ecuador
