Composición y distribución de las especies de las familias mictophidae, sternoptychidae, phosichthyidae y gonostomatidae, en aguas ecuatorianas.

El presente estudio está basado en las muestras recolectadas durante los cruceros de investigación en el B ∕ I Tohalli del Instituto Nacional de Pesca en los años 1981, 1983, 1984,1985; en el R ∕ V Wecoma en el año 1983, en muestras recolectadas con la red el Isaacs- Kidd; en el R/V Endeavor en los años 1981, 1984. Se realizó un estudio taxonómico de las especies de peces linterna con lo que se determinó la composición y distribución de estas familias en aguas ecuatorianas. Se analizaron 491 ejemplares, de los cuales se identificaron once especies que pertenecen a la Familia Myctophidae. En la familia Myctophidae Benthosema panamense es la especie más abundante, con 98 ejemplares correspondiente al 38.73% de las especies de esta familia. En la familia Phosichthyidae Vicinguerria sp. es la especie más abundante con 157 ejemplares correspondiente al 99.36% de las especies de esta familia. Ichthyococcus sp con 1ejemplar correspondiente al 0.63%. En la familia Sternoptychidae Argyropelecus sp.1 con 15 ejemplares correspondendiente al 19.48%. Argyropelecus sp.2 con 59 ejemplares correspondendiente al 76.62%. Maurolicus sp. con 3 ejemplares correspondendiente al 3.89%.
This current research is based on samples collected during the cruise of investigation in the B/I Tohalli of National Fisheries Institute in the years 1983, 1984, 1985; in the R/V Wecoma in the year 1983, in samples colleted with the Isaacs-Kidd net; in the R/V Endeavor in the years 1981, 1984. This research was fowsed in the taxonomic and descriptions of the lanterfish species, in order to determine the composition and distribution of these fishes in Ecuadorian waters. It was analyze a total of, 491 fishes, and it was identified what pertinence a eleven species of the Family Myctpphidae. Two species of the Family Phosichthyidae: Ichthyococcus sp., Vicinguerria sp. Three species of the Family Sternoptychidae: Argyropelecus sp.1, Argyropelecus sp.2, Maurolicus sp.
