- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoInfluence of methodological stages: pre-while-post in reading skill.(Universidad de Guayaquil. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación., 2017) Narea Velasco, Mildred Madfori; Barragán Camacho, MaríaNowadays, the educational environment has changed in many ways, even more, in reinforcing different activities in class, but unfortunately there is still a long way to go. This was verified in “Aguirre Abad” high school, where the third year students did not work very well with reading ability and the tasks applied by the teacher in each methodological stage (before, while and after) are not intended to be used by students of a senior year, through the observation of the class and the methodologies applied as interview and survey, it was discovered that some activities are very traditional for this reason there is not a good analysis and understanding of a text. Therefore, this project tries to analyze the causes and consequences that led to a not so effective teaching and also to recommend the use of a booklet with activities carried out with augmented reality that helps not only to complete exercises in an interactive way and to attract the student but also helps improve reading ability in each student.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoInfluence of the techniques for autonomous work in listening comprehension(Universidad de Guayaquil. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación., 2017) Pin Avila, Gisella Alexandra; Reyes Enríquez, Raúl René; Barragán Camacho, MaríaThis research considers the influence of the techniques for autonomous work to improve the listening comprehension of the students in the tenth year “A” of Colegio Experimental Rita Lecumberri de Guayaquil, in the academic year 2016 – 2017 who presented deficiencies in their listening comprehension, helping them to reach a higher level of understanding of what they are listening. The theoretical framework collected information on both the techniques for autonomous work and listening comprehension, based on the principles of various scientific fields such as: Pedagogy, Linguistics, Philosophy, etc; that would support how the techniques for autonomous work influence listening comprehension. A bibliographical research was necessary in order to broaden the knowledge of this project. This is a Descriptive, Explanatory and Propositional investigation whose objective was to find out how the proper use of the techniques for autonomous work influence in listening comprehension. Data was collected during 2016 with a population and sample of 40 students at the “Colegio Experimental Rita Lecumberri de Guayaquil. Empirical data was compiled through the triangulation method of instruments such as: an interview towards the English teacher, surveys to the students complemented with an observation guide to recognize the techniques for autonomous work that the teacher promotes to apply for the development of listening comprehension. This study is important due to its feasibility in that there were no high-level expenses made, relevant because it sought a solution to the problem that the students have; the techniques for autonomous are set of procedures applied as a form of a necessary study for all levels of listening comprehension and it is original due to the low amount of research made about the topic. The main beneficiaries of the project are the students who will employ a guide to improve their listening skill
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoMotivational vocabulary techniques for developing the oral production of the students of 7th year basic at Adriana Fuentes Public School.(Universidad de Guayaquil. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2014) Mecias Mendoza, Leonardo Javier; Alvarado Villamar, Elsa Hanet; Barragán Camacho, MaríaInnovating vocabulary techniques to develop oral production in students of the 7th grade basic at Adriana Fuentes public school by designing an illustrative booklet with vocabulary and grammar exercises to promote speaking skills in the classroom is the sole purpose of this project. This project took place at the school mentioned above where it specifically focused itself on the related learning process to improve students of the 7th grade ability to communicate. Through direct observation, we found that teachers do not have good recourses to develop the oral production with the learners, for this reason, students do not have opportunities to improve this skill inside the classroom. Students´ experiences and teachers´ needs for improving this skill were the inspiration to elaborate this project. Speaking as a principal ability to communicate with others, we selected different oral activities to improve this skill for making students practice them. Educators must consider this project for enhancing students express their feelings, comments, ideas or concerns. Related to the methodology applied, this research is considered as a bibliographic research to improve this skill, and it is also categorized as field research with the educational process as soon as the results demonstrate the effect of the research instruments that were applied. We considered to elaborate our booklet according to students` experiences and needs. Improving students’ language learning process will help them with oral production a lot more effectively with the use of this booklet and showing progress in their speaking activities as well through several activities at hand
