Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación., 2017) Mindiola Eguer, Julia Paola; Bravo Bravo, Israeldevelopment of the speaking skill in the students of 8th grade at “Francisco Huerta Rendón” High School, school year 2016-2017 who presented deficiency in their speaking production. The theoretical framework collected information about the independent variable: basic vocabulary and the dependent variable: speaking skill based on the communicative approach researching relevant terminology on various scientific fields such as Psychological, Sociological, Pedagogical and Legal foundations that support how the basic vocabulary influence in the development of the speaking skill. Empirical data was compiled through the interview and the observation of the EFL class. In addition seventy- three students completed a survey with fifteen statements applying the Likert skale. This is a descriptive, explanatory and exploratory research whose objective was to find out that applying basic vocabulary with interactive activities will develop the speaking skill in the students of 8th EGB at “Francisco Huerta Rendon” high school, data was collected with a population and sample of seventy-three students during 2016. Through this study was clear that the students have a lack of their production ability due to they do not comprehend a simple instruction given by the teacher because they do not figure out the basic vocabulary taught in a EFL class. The first beneficiaries of this project are the students in 8th grade because they will get the A.1.1 level, they will be encouraged to apply the basic vocabulary and they will apply it to develop the speaking skill, therefore their scholar accomplishment will increase

This thesis argues the great importance of listening didactic resources to improve the oral expression of English language. This study used interviews and surveys to gather information about the current situation of the school and proposes a manual with listening activities to help improve the English level of students. Finally, this paper contributes to an indispensable tool to develop and improve the speaking skill.

This research focuses on helping the students with words of vocabulary or expressions that help him to join ideas into a sentence and expand his written production. Both, the students of 8th basic course and the English teacher were evaluated through the application of a survey and interview, respectively, which were containing questions related to the proposed variables, obtaining as result that the proposal can be applied in benefit of both parts and to stimulate the writing in any institution
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoInfluence of extensive reading to develop reading comprehension.(Universidad de Guayaquil Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2023-03) Scott Suarez, Dayana Briggitte; Bravo Bravo, IsraelThe study was carried out in “Replica Aguirre Abad” High School on students in the second year of Bachillerato. This study aimed to investigate the influence of extensive reading to develop reading comprehension through statistical analysis and bibliographic research allowing theoretical development of the variables. It was found that the extensive reading process supports to development of reading comprehension by selecting appropriate materials. Hence, qualitative and quantitative Mixed methods research was applied to examine the lack of reading competence in students, the data was obtained by applying an observation guide, survey, and interview. According to the data result, students read little extensive reading material and have a poor level of reading comprehension; the professor confirms it is hard to motivate and apply the extensive reading to their students. As a result, a booklet with extensive reading activities was designed by the author to provide students with suitable extensive reading activities developed by reading stage such as pre, while, and post-reading according to their English levels to motivate students to enjoy while developing critical thinking.

The ability to write is other way to communicate with someone else, writing skills are essential for communicating. Good writing skills allow communicating message with clarity and easiness to a far larger audience than through face-to-face or telephone conversations. The research was mainly elaborated to know whether the use of grammar could improve the writing skill. In this case, the researchers limit the research on implementing a manual with writing exercises to improve writing skills in the eighth grade students at Eloy Alfaro public school, it will be applied a manual that will help teacher with additional writing resources; and students to write more correctly and effectively

This research project aims at improving the reading skill through vocabulary links; the purpose is to transform the English proficiency of the tenth grade students of General Basic Education “Provincia de Cotopaxi" High School, which seeks to solve the process of learning of the students. The methodology used in this research is of mixed character, which means that data will be collected and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with theoretical methods and empirical techniques, such as surveys, interviews and observation guides. This research is applied as it seeks to solve the problem, explaining that its purpose is to ensure the education. It is also purposeful because a proposal is designed to improve student’s ability in vocabulary links. The main objective of this research is to propose a way to help students with low academic performance increase their ability through a booklet with links, for this reason; the proposal is to design a booklet with vocabulary links to improve reading skills in the English language

Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación., 2017) Morán Litardo, Madelyn; Vulgarin Rugel, Karem; Bravo Bravo, IsraelThe pre-listening comprehension is one of the most important stages in developing the listening skill to take the listening skill beyond the conventional standard been more than just a mere roll, it was necessary to use the games to catch the attention of the receivers. The present project is focused on developing the level of listening comprehension in the students at the Clemente Yerovi Indaburu high school in order to improve listening skills to get to a better understanding in the classroom. In the process of implementing the project, some evaluators tools were applied namely included the interview of the teacher in charge, a survey was applied to the students, in which the result showed both need an improvement in the listening skill thus the need for the application of new activities and dynamic games linked with listening, finally, the observation guide was applied as a way to support the results. Based on this, the proposal was developed, which purpose is to execute games to enhance pre-listening comprehension in the students.

Since it is an educational project on the teaching of English as a foreign language, the research has been based on reading material with authors who were a source of scientific information on how to develop the listening skill and the different strategies and methodologies to use in class. The purpose of this research is to encourage the practice of listening skill inside and outside of the classroom using intensive and extensive methods so that students eventually develop their listening skill to understand English in real situations, the song lyrics activities are easy to use , as they use vocabulary and structures that the student can use to understand while listening and communicating in English. In this research were used theoretical and empirical methods to obtain an investigative basis, the quantitative method was used to quantify the statistics, the results were used for the graphs and then a text analysis, the instruments used were an interview to the English teacher and survey for the students, with all of this information the researchers decide to plan the proposal and design a pamphlet with activities based on song lyrics activities with which students will easily identify and create a fun learning environment in the classroom.

This thesis claimed that if you motivate the students to read what they want to read and when they want to read, for pleasure, the students will develop a reading habit which will subsequently improve their reading comprehension abilities and English in general. In this research project, the researchers used the observation technique to assess the resources used in class and an interview and survey to gather information about the problem. At the end of this investigation project, there was a proposal which was created to help the teacher motivate the students in order to apply the extensive reading technique in class. This paper concluded supporting the idea that the extensive reading is very useful in developing a reading habit and therefore raising the proficiency level of the reading comprehension skill.

For this reason, in the theoretical framework of this project, the contribution of various authors has been taken into consideration who establish the different factors, aspects and elements that can strengthen the reading process, especially in students who are learning a second language. The theory compiled is proposed to be applied through the Literature Circles strategy with which it is proposed to improve the level of reading comprehension of these students, since the literature circles promote the immersion of all the participants of this process. To conclude, this research work is carried out in order to establish the influence of the use of literature circles to achieve the level of reading comprehension suggested by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education and also, supported by all the data collected, design a didactic guide that promotes the use of this strategy.

This educational project It was carried out after a bibliographical study that provided the necessary scientific bases to be able to interrelate the variables. So, for the data collection, a mixed qualitative and quantitative methodology was applied that allowed the use of instruments such as class observation, the survey, and the interview, thus providing the necessary information to provide a solution to the problem of speech deficiency. of the English language that was confirmed with the survey of the students, this solution being a methodological didactic guide based on vocabulary with applications from the Play Store and Google.

For this, we worked with students in tenth grade parallel "A" morning day of basic general education of the Fiscal Educational Unit "Pedro Vicente Maldonado", school year 2020-2021. This research used data collection techniques, such as; the interview to the teacher of the course, the survey and observation of 34 students. The data were analyzed and represented in tables and graphs for a better interpretation. It was demonstrated, from a scientific aspect, the effectiveness of the Storytelling technique in the improvement of language fluency in students, since the Storytelling technique enhances language practice, through constant speech, and the expansion of language, thanks to contextual learning. The research concludes with the creation of a storytelling guide designed for students with level A1. 2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The guide is adapted for face-to-face and virtual classes, thus meeting the current need to adapt the classroom to the technological era

Also it was proved scientifically that role plays are important activities for learning a foreign language, because they motivate and develop the speaking skill of students and can be apply to real life. To identify the problem was used field, bibliographical and statistical research that helped to compile information of problem. Moreover were used surveys to the students and the interview to the English teacher as research instruments. These data demonstrated that students develop very little the oral expression in English. Therefore, it was proposed to design a booklet with basic dialogues to improve speaking skill in students.

The main objective of this research is to propose a way to help students with low academic performance increase their ability through a booklet with activities for developing listening process, for this reason; the proposal is to design of a system of activities to improve note taking technique in listening process.

That’s why we have as a dependent variable the basic expressions and as independent variable speaking skill. The educational standards of our country suggest that educational institutions should be subject capable of solving present and future problems of their daily lives, therefore the present research project establishes an importance relevant to the active participation of the students as a generator person of their own learning. The difficulties in the pedagogic process are varied but at Dr. Francisco Huerta Rendon high school is evidence that the low performance in the foreign language is caused by the deficiency of methodology strategy which are a part of motivation of the learners to this matter, the insufficiency of strategies and techniques has been caused by different aspects of their environment educative, the before mentioned problem gave the start to this investigation with the help of different methods and assessment tools have been able to determine the cause and consequences of this problem existing. In addition, the foreign language as is English is one of the more the theoretical, practical subjects is present as a central focus in every situation that occurs in our environment, although the importance of solving the deficiency of techniques and fear public speaking to students of eighth grade of high school for the successful of their academic activities. As part of the solution have been modified based on a didactic handbook focuses on basic expressions to develop the speaking skill in the students, to ensure the leading role of our young people in and outside the classroom, the motivated students show an interest towards new knowledge and this facilitates the scope for building a meaningful learning.

The students presented problems to practice the oral communication of the English language. In order to improve the speaking skill of the English language, the authors began the research project by collecting information in accordance with the previous works done on the variables, dependent and independent. In addition, with the methodological designs, scientific methods, techniques, strategies, and using the necessary tools in the compilation of data, such as class observation, the survey of 37 students and interview with the teacher. Demonstrating that with the design of a didactic guide with visual aids and entertaining activities based on the basic vocabulary according to the 8th grade level, the teacher in charge can improve the oral communication while the students have fun learning during the English class

This research is focused on the study of the environment in which the English class develops, in order to provide an alternative to face the deficiencies that these students present when expressing their ideas in the English language. This thesis project was carried out through field research, an observation guide, an interview with the teacher and a survey to students to determine how aware they are of their deficiencies at the time of speaking. During the analysis of the data it was demonstrated that the students presented a low level of vocabulary which contributed to the origin of the deficiencies in the oral expression. Thus, it was necessary to design a system of vocabulary activities and speaking exercises to improve the expression oral, which will allow students to develop their oral fluency by making use of the learned vocabulary in class.

The research was carried out through the use of an interview with the teacher, surveys of students, and observation, which demonstrated the need to implement exciting and new reading strategies that promote the reading habit and the development of critical thinking, communicative skills, and reading comprehension of students. The lack of motivation, the use of inappropriate texts, and not very dynamic classes are factors that prevent students from improving their reading skills. This project presents the use of literature circles that promote the use of authentic texts as a solution to this problem, being an ideal tool to develop and increase the reading comprehension of students, allowing them to actively participate in the development of their reading comprehension in a collaborative way.
