Resumen
Este trabajo de investigación se realizó en el Complejo Ecoturístico “El Refugio”
que se encuentra ubicado en el km 5 vía Montalvo Balsapamba, en el que se
pretende identificar sus principales problemáticas y a través de la propuesta mejorar
el servicio, equipamiento e instalaciones del complejo “El Refugio”. Por lo expuesto
y para dar cumplimiento a la temática, se planteó el objetivo general de diagnosticar
la situación turística actual del complejo, para lo cual fue necesario recopilar
información bibliográfica primaria, secundaria y terciaria que permita entender el
objeto de estudio en todo su contexto, también se determina la situación actual de
este centro de recreación a través de la aplicación de metodología de investigación
de campo apropiado. Además se elaboró un plan de mejoramiento para el complejo
turístico objeto de éste estudio en base a los resultados obtenidos. El alcance de
este trabajo de investigación, es determinar cuáles son los problemas que provocan
la poca afluencia de turistas en el complejo “El Refugio”, para lo cual se realiza un
diagnóstico que permita conocer las fortalezas, oportunidades, debilidades y
amenazas de este centro de recreación. Finalmente, el complejo ecoturistico “El
Refugio”, tiene potencial para mejorar y crecer como destino turístico del recinto
Pisagua porque cuenta con paisajes propios de naturaleza, que hace que este
centro de recreación se convierta en una alternativa para los turistas.
This research was carried out in the Ecotourism Complex "El Refugio" located at km 5 via Montalvo Balsapamba, in which it is intended to identify its main problems and through the proposal to improve the service, equipment and facilities of the complex " The shelter". For the above and in order to comply with the theme, the general objective of diagnosing the current tourist situation of the complex was proposed. For this purpose, it was necessary to collect primary, secondary and tertiary bibliographic information that allows the understanding of the object of study in its entire context, the current situation of this recreation center is also determined through the application of appropriate field research methodology. In addition, an improvement plan was developed for the tourist complex that was the subject of this study based on the results obtained. The scope of this research work is to determine what are the problems that cause the little influx of tourists in the complex "El Refugio", for which a diagnosis is made that allows to know the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats of this center of recreation. Finally, the ecotourism complex "El Refugio", has potential to improve and grow as a tourist destination of the Pisagua precinct because it has its own landscapes of nature, which makes this recreation center an alternative for tourists.
