Resumen
La provincia de Santa Elena es un sector pesquero y turístico que en los últimos años se ha
visto afectada por las constantes y prolongadas interrupciones del servicio de energía
eléctrica, la demora en la restitución de la misma por parte de la Corporación Nacional de
Electricidad de Santa Elena – CNEL EP, constituye una gran preocupación que afecta la
calidad de vida de las familias. El propósito del presente trabajo consistió en la realización
del análisis del efecto de las fallas del servicio eléctrico en el desarrollo socioeconómico del
barrio 10 de agosto de la parroquia Atahualpa de la provincia de Santa Elena. La metodología
utilizada se basó en el diseño cuantitativo, apropiado para la recopilación de datos
descriptivos que permitieron analizar las consecuencias que generan las fallas del sistema
eléctrico brindado por CNEL EP. Como resultados obtenidos, basados en el procesamiento de
datos recopilados y el análisis realizado, se determinó que existe un alto índice de
discontinuidad del servicio eléctrico en el barrio 10 de agosto, lo que afecta directamente a la
actividad comercial de este sector. Frente a los resultados obtenidos, la propuesta de solución
se fundamenta en la implementación del sistema SCADA (Supervisión, Control y
Adquisición de Datos), que es un proyecto tendiente a contribuir a la aplicación de un
servicio de distribución de energía eléctrica confiable y continua dado que permitirá la
identificación temprana de las fallas ocasionadas y por consiguiente la atención de restitución
del servicio en menor tiempo posible.
The province of Santa Elena is a fishing and tourist sector that in recent years has been affected by the constant and prolonged outages of electricity. The delay of the restitution of it by the National Electricity Corporation of Santa Elena - CNEL EP, is a major concern that affects the quality of life of families. The purpose of this work was to perform the analysis of the effect of power failures in the socioeconomic development of the neighborhood 10 de Agosto, parish Atahualpa in the province of Santa Elena. The methodology used was based on quantitative design, appropriate for the compilation of descriptive data; which allowed to analyze the consequences that generate the failures of the electrical system provided by CNEL EP. As a result, based on the processing of data compiled and the completed analysis, it was determined that there is a high rate of discontinuity of electrical service in the neighborhood 10 de Agosto, which directly affects commercial activity in this sector. With the results obtained, the proposal as a solution is based on the implementation of the SCADA system (data acquisition and monitoring control). It is a project tending to contribute to the implementation of a distribution service of electric power, reliable and continuous. Inasmuch as, will allow the early identification of failures and therefore to take care of the restoration of the service in shortest possible time
