Resumen
Las empresas familiares representan un 82% en el Ecuador y un pilar fundamental en la
economía del país. La administración de este tipo de empresas es compleja ya que involucra
decisiones en la familia que la mayoría se torna solo emocionales. Por otra parte, existe una
falta de una correcta sucesión y su alto porcentaje de quiebra antes de pasar a la siguiente
generación preocupa a la sociedad. El objetivo principal de este proyecto es el de analizar
esta tipologías de empresas y con estrategias organizacionales incentivar a la competitividad
y productividad. Para eso, se recopiló la información por medio de encuestas en donde se
formularon ocho preguntas relevantes que permitió concluir que existe un verdadero reto en
mejorar la relación de la empresa-familia, en crear indicadores de gestión para monitorear y
verificar la competitividad y productividad, en que es difícil la administración de una
empresa familiar y que uno de los errores más frecuentes es considerar que se puede
administrar una empresa familiar como una no familiar.
Family businesses represent an 82% in Ecuador and a fundamental pillar in the country's economy. The administration of these businesses is complex because it involves decisions in the family that most becomes just emotional. Moreover, there is a lack of proper succession and its high percentage of bankruptcy before moving on to the next generation concerns society. The main objective of this project is to analyze the types of business and organizational strategies to encourage competitiveness and productivity. For that, the information through surveys in which eight relevant questions that led to the conclusion that there is a real challenge in improving the relationship of the company-family, build management indicators to monitor and verify the competitiveness and productivity were formulated was collected, that it is difficult managing a family business and one of the most common mistakes is to consider that can manage a family business as an unfamiliar.
