COPD, one of the most frequent diseases in our pulmonology demonstrated in industrialized first world countries a high incidence and majority regarding the use of snuff and occupational diseases. In Luis Vernaza Hospital tries consider a retrospective study analyzing medical records of patients studied in order to determine what our environment is the primary determinant risk factor for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of a serious nature. So far we have determined that 54.05% of patients has been related to its high smoking history with severe obstructive lung disease, while patients admitted per visit to the area of pulmonology tend to develop three reasons for consultation at the same time between they cough, dyspnea and orthopnea still vitally important a multidisciplinary study accompanied by prevention campaigns against smoking to avoid further complications in patients with COPD.
