Resumen
La presente investigación se ha desarrollado en el área protegida Reserva ecológica manglares
Churute, el objetivo general se enfoca en el análisis de las actividades de producción extractivas
y su incidencia en el desarrollo sostenible de la reserva Ecológica, el cual se encuentra ubicado
en la provincia del guayas cantón naranjal a 41 km de Guayaquil. El desarrollo de esta
investigación se ha desarrollado, debido a la falta de información que permita diagnosticar la
situación actual de las comunidades con respecto a la sostenibilidad. Para esta investigación se
aplicaron métodos enfocados en la investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa lo que permitió la
obtención de información de vital importancia, la cual se fundamenta en teorías relacionadas
con las actividades de extracción, y el desarrollo sostenible. Las encuestas y la entrevista fueron
las técnicas utilizadas, la encuesta se aplicó a los cangrejeros que pertenecen a las asociaciones
existentes en la Reserva Ecológica, y la entrevista se llevó a cabo con la ayuda de las autoridades
competente del área protegida Reserva Ecológica Manglares Churute.
Mediante los resultados obtenidos se pudo concluir que la problemática que afecta actualmente
a las comunidades que habitan en la REMACH se debe a que los cangrejeros carecen de
capacidad de negociación al momento de comercializar el producto, ya que el mayor
beneficiado es el intermediario. Para contribuir a la mitigación de la problemática se presenta
una propuesta basada en diseño de estrategias competitivas para fortalecer la comercialización
de las actividades extractivas y así lograr el desarrollo sostenible de las organizaciones
pesqueras y de los habitantes del sector.
This research has been developed in the protected area Mangrove Ecological Reserve Churute, the general objective is focused on the analysis of extractive production activities and their impact on the sustainable development of the Ecological Reserve, which is located in the province of Guayas cantón naranjal 41 km from Guayaquil. The development of this research has developed, due to the lack of information that allows to diagnose the current situation of the communities with respect to the sustainability. For this research applied methods focused on qualitative and quantitative research which allowed the obtaining of information of vital importance, which is based on theories related to extractive activities, and sustainable development. Surveys and interviews were the techniques used, the survey was applied to crabs belonging to existing associations in the Ecological Reserve, and the interview was carried out with the help of the competent authorities of the Protected Area Ecological Reserve Mangroves Churute. Through the results obtained it was possible to conclude that the problem that currently affects the communities that live in REMACH is due to the fact that crab farmers do not have negotiating capacity at the time of marketing the product, since the biggest beneficiary is the intermediary. To contribute to the mitigation of the problem, a proposal is presented based on the design of competitive strategies to strengthen the commercialization of extractive activities and thus achieve the sustainable development of fishing organizations and the inhabitants of the sector.
