Resumen
En la formación profesional del Comunicador Social es primordial el desarrollo
de todos los procesos de pensar, discernir, analizar para que pueda realizar una
interpretación, juicio de valor, juicio crítico, así como la habilidad para escribir en
los diversos géneros periodísticos. Desde esta perspectiva, la lectura crítica
debe ser un objetivo prioritario del currículo en el contexto universitario. En este
trabajo de investigación se ha planteado como objetivo principal determinar la
importancia de fomentar la lectura crítica en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes del
primer semestre de la carrera de Comunicación Social, para el desarrollo del
pensamiento crítico que les permita tener la capacidad de análisis y redacción
de los géneros de opinión de la prensa escrita. Para el diseño de la investigación
se ha establecido como método principal el descriptivo-inductivo. Se enmarca
dentro de una investigación de tipo exploratoria, descriptiva, cualitativa,
bibliográfica-documental, y de campo. Como población se ha considerado a las
autoridades, docentes y estudiantes de la Carrera de Comunicación Social de la
Universidad de Guayaquil. La muestra estuvo determinada por 3 autoridades 74
docentes y 83 estudiantes. Las técnicas que se aplicaron para la recolección de
la información fueron la entrevista y la encuesta. Para solucionar el presente
problema, como propuesta se diseñó una guía con estrategias para fomentar en
los estudiantes del primer semestre la importancia de desarrollar el pensamiento
crítico, para el análisis y redacción de géneros de opinión de la prensa escrita.
In the professional training of the social communicator, it is important to develop all the processes: thinking, discerning, analyzing, in this way he can perform an interpretation, judgment of values, critical judgment, as well as the ability to write in the various journalistic genres. From this perspective, critical reading should be a priority in the university context. The main objective of this investigation was to determine the importance of promoting critical reading in the students' learning of the first semester of the Social Communication career, in order to develop critical thinking that allows them to have the capacity for analysis of the genres of the written press. For the design of the research it was used the descriptiveinductive method as the main one. It is a part of exploratory, descriptive, qualitative, bibliographic-documentary, and field research. As a population has been considered the authorities, teachers and students of the Career of Social Communication, University of Guayaquil. The statistics was determined by 3 authorities 74 teachers and 83 students. The techniques that were applied for the collection of the information were the interview and the survey. In order to solve the present problem, it was created a guide with strategies to encourage the students of the first semester and explain about the importance of developing critical thinking in order to analyze genres in the written press.
