In the research carried out at the Enrique Gil Gilbert basic education school in the city of Guayaquil, it was verified that food education affects the levels of academic performance of students in the basic media, this was validated with the results obtained from the Instruments applied to teachers, students and representatives whose percentages of the variable "alimentary education" oscillated in 70 and 80%, in the same way the results of the variable "school performance" indicated in 90% that an inadequate food culture affects Directly at their level. A mixed descriptive methodology was used in the research, using a sample of census type, which determined the characteristics of the design of the research proposal, addressed to the representatives. In the construction of the theoretical framework, a lot of information was used by authors who have done research on the subject, in the same way it counted on the contribution of psychologists, educators and educators who founded the relevance of the research. The PSPP statistical system was used to determine the level of correlation between the variables.
