IDENTIDAD VOCACIONAL Y MOTIVACIÓN ACADÉMICA EN ADOLESCENTES CON COMPORTAMIENTOS PROBLEMÁTICOS DE TERCERO DE BACHILLERATO UNIDAD EDUCATIVA FISCAL “NUEVE DE OCTUBRE

Resumen
El presente estudio tuvo la finalidad de caracterizar la identidad vocacional y la motivación académica en una muestra de 84 adolescentes que presentaron comportamientos problemáticos (consumo excesivo de alcohol, uso de drogas, conducta antisocial y delictiva) y que cursaban el último año de bachillerato en una unidad educativa pública de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Para este cometido se aplicaron las sub-escalas de Identidad Vocacional de Holland, Planificación y Exploración de carrera de Súper, las cuales constituyeron medidas que permitieron describir la identidad vocacional de los adolescentes; así como el Cuestionario de Conductas Antisociales y Delictivas y la sección de uso de alcohol y drogas de la Encuesta Mundial de Salud a Escolares de la OMS 2013, con el objetivo de identificar los comportamientos problemáticos. Se constató, en primer lugar, la tendencia de los comportamientos problemáticos a aparecer de manera conjunta en la muestra estudiada. El nivel de exploración vocacional y motivación se evidenciaron levemente inferiores al grupo normativo, no encontrando desarrollo de identidad lograda en el sub-grupo que presentó todos los comportamientos problemáticos al mismo tiempo Se encontraron también relaciones significativas que sugieren el rol mediador de la motivación académica extrínseca en referencia a las demás variables analizadas en esta investigación
The present study aimed to characterize vocational identity and academic motivation in a sample of 84 adolescents who presented problematic behaviors (excessive consumption of alcohol, drug use, antisocial and criminal behavior) and who were in the last year of high school in a public educational unit of the city of Guayaquil. For this purpose, the sub-scales of Holland Vocational Identity, Supervision and Career Exploration were applied, which constituted measures that allowed to describe the vocational identity of adolescents; as well as the Questionnaire on Antisocial and Criminal Behaviors and the alcohol and drug use section of the WHO World Health Survey for Schoolchildren 2013, with the aim of identifying problematic behaviors. It was found, first, the tendency of problem behaviors to appear together in the sample studied. The level of vocational exploration and motivation were slightly lower than the normative group, not finding development of identity achieved in the subgroup that presented all the problematic behaviors at the same time. Significant relationships were also found that suggest the mediating role of extrinsic academic motivation. in reference to the other variables analyzed in this investigation
