Resumen
El presente proyecto de tesis se basa en la problemática del sistema de seguridad que existe en la Facultad de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad de Guayaquil, por lo tanto, la propuesta consiste en realizar el estudio basado en la tecnología RFID, que permite el control de acceso y automatización de las diferentes áreas de la Facultad. Para obtener información referente al tema se utilizaron las siguientes herramientas: entrevistas y encuestas, utilizando el método de investigación cuantitativa, para interpretar las necesidades del personal administrativo, docentes y estudiantes. Como propuesta se ofrece el diseño de un prototipo basado en tecnología Arduino, complementado por un lector RFID que interactúa con una tarjeta o etiqueta RFID y una tarjeta Ethernet con puerto Micro SD para el almacenamiento de los datos y registro. Este estudio pretende optimizar, automatizar y garantizar la seguridad en la facultad de Ingeniería Industrial.
