El ciberbullying en el desempeño académico en los estudiantes de octavo año de educación básica superior de la Unidad Educativa Paúl Percy Harris Bryan

Resumen
En la educación intervienen varios factores que pueden afectar el
aprendizaje. El presente estudio permitió realizar un análisis sobre el
ciberbullying, en los estudiantes del octavo año de la Unidad Educativa
"Paúl Percy Harris Bryan", del cantón Machala provincia de El Oro, se
planteó como objetivo examinar el nivel del ciberbullying y su influencia en
el desempeño académico, mediante estudio bibliográfico, investigación de
campo y análisis estadísticos, para diseñar un software interactivo como
herramienta didáctica en la sana convivencia escolar del área de Lengua
y Literatura. Para lo cual fue preciso basar la información teórica con
estudios ya realizados por expertos en el ámbito educativo, así como
también se analizó las fundamentaciones filosóficas, psicológica,
sociológica, pedagógica y legal. La metodología aplicada tuvo un enfoque
cualitativo cuantitativo, el estudio se apoyó en la investigación de campo,
exploratoria y descriptiva, se consideró como población a 412 individuos,
la muestra se estratificó en 202 personas conformado por directivos,
docentes, estudiantes y representantes legales, a quienes se le aplicaron
las técnicas de investigación, las mismas que estuvieron direccionadas a
evidenciar el nivel del ciberbullying y de esta manera adoptar las
estrategias idóneas para mejorar el clima escolar. Los resultados
obtenidos permitieron llegar a la conclusión de que existe la necesidad de
fomentar un entorno escolar armonioso, por lo que la aplicación de la
propuesta sí es factible, se recomienda el diseño e implementación de un
software interactivo, basada en la práctica de valores y de esta manera
prevenir el ciberbullying en los entornos escolares.
There are several factors involved in education that can affect learning. The present study allowed us to carry out an analysis on cyberbullying, in the students of the eighth year of the Educational Unit "Paúl Percy Harris Bryan", of the Machala canton, province of El Oro, the objective was to examine the level of cyberbullying and its influence on the academic performance, through bibliographic study, field research and statistical analysis, to design an interactive software as a didactic tool in the healthy school coexistence in the area of Language and Literature. For which it was necessary to base the theoretical information with studies already carried out by experts in the educational field, as well as the philosophical, psychological, sociological, pedagogical and legal foundations were analyzed. The applied methodology had a quantitative qualitative approach, the study was based on field research, exploratory and descriptive, a population of 412 individuals was considered, the sample was stratified into 202 people made up of executives, teachers, students and legal representatives. Who applied the research techniques, which were directed to evidence the level of cyberbullying and thus adopt the best strategies to improve the school climate. The results obtained allowed to reach the conclusion that there is a need to promote a harmonious school environment, so that the application of the proposal is feasible, it is recommended the design and implementation of interactive software, based on the practice of values and in this way to prevent cyberbullying in school environments.
