Dinámica de la flota de pesca deportiva de Corvina (Cynoscion albus) en el estuario del Río Cojimíes, Provincia de Manabí, Ecuador, de enero a diciembre del 2013

Resumen
La pesca deportiva es una actividad que se realiza continuamente en el estuario del Río
Cojimíes, así como en la zona costera, siendo importante determinar la dinámica de dicha
pesquería hacia el recurso corvina amarilla (C. albus), para lo cual se desarrollaron 126
monitoreos de desembarque de enero a diciembre del año 2013 a las embarcaciones que
registraban pesca con caña, se analizaron las capturas y los datos morfométricos de la corvina
amarilla presente en los desembarques. Además, se correlacionó los parámetros físico-químicos con la abundancia relativa de la especie, encontrando la tendencia positiva a mayor abundancia en el sitio denominado Frente a Daule, siendo este el punto con mayor profundidad de los sitios monitoreados, siendo este de importancia al momento de desarrollar la pesca deportiva. Las tallas de los especímenes varían de entre 44,94 a 73,00 centímetros de longitud total, con pesos de entre 2,14 a 12,24 libras, observándose que para el mes de junio los individuos son de mayor tamaño y peso.
