Resumen
El trabajo de investigación tiene como fin fundamental, el análisis de la implementación de
medidas regulatorias en las importaciones y el impacto económico que sufrió el sector
automotriz del Ecuador.
Con la crisis mundial del año 2008 entró en vigencia políticas comerciales que restringían la
importación de bienes al país con la justificación de evitar que las divisas salgan de la economía.
Además el fin de estas medidas es promover el cambio de la matriz productiva, es decir pasar de
una economía primario exportadora a una de producción con valor agregado, basada en alta
tecnología y conocimiento, sustituyendo productos importados por mercancías de fabricación
nacional.
A lo largo de este proyecto investigativo se analizará las políticas comerciales implementadas por
el Gobierno para promover la fabricación nacional de vehículos y determinar si estas medidas
han incidido en los niveles de producción, exportación e importación de automóviles fabricados
por la industria automotriz del Ecuador en el periodo comprendido entre los años 2008 – 2015.
Al finalizar el presente trabajo investigativo se establecerá como propuesta el diseño de un plan
estratégico basado en las principales tácticas empresariales que ha utilizado la compañía
Chevrolet Ecuador para disminuir el impacto de la crisis del sector automotriz del país, esto con
el fin de que el presente proyecto de investigación sea utilizado como fuente de información para posteriores estudios.
The main objective of the research work is to analyze the implementation of regulatory measures on imports and the economic impact of the automotive sector in Ecuador. With the global crisis of 2008 came into force commercial policies that restricted the import of goods to the country with the justification of preventing foreign exchange out of the economy. In addition, the purpose of these measures is to promote the change of the productive matrix, that is, to move from a primary export economy to a value-added production based on high technology and knowledge, substituting imported products for domestically manufactured goods. Throughout this research project will analyze the trade policies implemented by the current Government to promote domestic vehicle manufacturing and determine whether these measures have affected the levels of production, export and import of cars manufactured by the automotive industry of Ecuador in The period between the years 2008 - 2015. At the end of this investigative work will be established as a proposal the design of a strategic plan based on the main business tactics that Chevrolet Ecuador has used to reduce the impact of the crisis of the automotive sector of the country, this in order that the present Research project is used as a source of information for further studies.
