Efecto de las fases lunares en el cultivo de tres híbridos de maíz Zea mays L.

Resumen
El presente trabajo se realizó en la granja experimental “Vainillo” de la
Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias de la Universidad de Guayaquil ubicada en el
km. 48 vía al Triunfo, provincia del Guayas, donde se determinó los efectos
de las fases lunares en el comportamiento agronómico del cultivo de maíz
con la finalidad de incrementar los rendimientos de cosecha y los ingresos
de los productores de maíz en el cantón El Triunfo. Se estudiaron tres
híbridos (Trueno, Insignia y 505) y cuatro fases de luna (Cuarto menguante,
Luna nueva, Cuarto creciente, Luna llena). Se evaluaron las variables altura
de planta (7, 14, 21, 28, 35 y 42 días después de la siembra), longitud de
mazorca, peso de la mazorca, rendimiento. De acuerdo a los resultados se
concluyó : 1)El híbrido 505 alcanzó el mayor peso de la mazorca y
rendimiento con un promedio 98 gramos, 431 granos y 4068 kg/ha
respectivamente; 2) En cuanto a las fases lunares Cuarto creciente
presentó el mayor rendimiento con un promedio de 4252 kg/ha; 3)Luna llena
obtuvo el mayor peso de la mazorca con un promedio de 55 gramos; 4)El
híbrido 505 tiene una alta productividad basado en alto rendimiento de grano
y peso de mazorca en las fases lunares de creciente, llena y menguante,
superando a los materiales Insignia y Trueno.
The present research work was carried out in the experimental farm "Vainillo", which belongs to the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences of the University of Guayaquil located at km. 48 via Triunfo, Guayas province, where the effects of the lunar phases on were determined in order to increase the agronomic yield of the crop and the incomes of the corn producers in El Triunfo Canton. Three hybrids (Thunder, Insignia and 505) and four moon phases (Fourth Waning, New Moon, Crescent, Full Moon) were studied. The plant height variables were evaluated (7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days after sowing), cob length, cob weight and yield. According to the results, it was concluded that: 1) The 505 hybrid reached the highest weight of the cob and yield with an average of 98 grams, 431 grains and 4068 kg / ha respectively; 2) Regarding the lunar phases, the fourth quarter had the highest yield with an average of 4252 kg / ha; 3) Full Moon obtained the highest weight of the cob with an average of 55 grams; 4) The 505 hybrid has a high productivity based on high grain yield and cob weight during the lunar phases of crescent, full and shrinking, surpassing the materials “Insignia” and “Thunder”.
