Resumen
La presente investigación tiene como propósito analizar el crecimiento exportable del sector maderero de balsa en el Ecuador durante el periodo 2010-2016, y sus niveles de competitividad en el mercado internacional. De esta manera, se busca determinar posibles mercados potenciales hacia donde pueda ser exportada esta madera, así también, poder identificar alternativas que ayuden al sector maderero de balsa a mejorar las condiciones exportadoras, y de esta manera poder contribuir al cambio de matriz productiva en la oferta exportadora del país. El método que se utilizará en el trabajo será mixto, es decir cuali-cuantitativo, puesto que se basará en estadísticas de entidades oficiales y se calculará los índices de competitividad que tiene la madera de balsa en el mercado internacional, siguiendo la metodología de la CEPAL y del Banco Central del Ecuador
The purpose of this research is to analyze the exportable growth of the balsa wood industry in Ecuador during the period 2010-2016, and its levels of competitiveness in the international market.
