Resumen
Las infecciones de tracto urinario y la Pielonefritis son problemas de Salud Pública que afectan a las mujeres en esta de gestación y que pueden traer consecuencias tanto para la madre como para el feto, el presenta estudio buscar determinar la prevalencia de Pielonefritis que cause Amenaza de Parto Pretérmino y Parto Pretérmino, que fueron atendidas en el Hospital Gineco Obstétrico Isidro Ayora durante el Periodo de enero a diciembre del año 2016 mediante la realización de un estudio tipo analítico, observacional, retrospectivo de diseño no experimental, con una muestra total de 71 pacientes un universo total de 83 pacientes se valoró la información obtenida de las historias clínicas del departamento de estadísticas de Hospital Isidro Ayora y entre los resultados obtenidos destacamos que la Pielonefritis se presentó con mayor incidencia entre la edad de 16 a 25 años en mayor en mujeres multíparas, que tuvieron infecciones del tracto urinario previas, el mayor número de diagnóstico se realizó entre las 28 y 32 semanas de gestación, el 69% de las pacientes necesito menos de 10 días de hospitalización, y el 82% recibió tratamiento médico a base de Cefalosporinas y tan solo el 8% del total de la muestras de Pacientes llego al Parto Pretérmino.
