El tamizaje de cardiopatías congénitas en neonatos sanos se ha convertido en uno de los más comentados en los últimos tiempos por su alta tasa de efectividad y sensibilidad, además de ser un método económico y fácil de realizar en neonatos entre las 24 y 48 horas de vida
Objetivo: Determinar si la pulsioximetría es útil para el diagnostico precoz de los distintos tipos de enfermedad cardiaca congénita.
Método: Descriptivo de corte transversal
Resultados: Se estudió una muestra de 546 neonatos aparentemente sanos en el Hospital General Guasmo Sur realizándose un hallazgo de 35 niños con primera prueba positiva.
