The twin pregnancy is considered a pregnancy of high reproductive risk since they carry an important proportion of maternal and perinatal pathologies that increase maternal and neonatal mortality. Its incidence has now increased due to the emergence of assisted reproduction techniques, according to the Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction, Ecuador registers 2,372 children born through this technique from 1990 to 2014. The objective of the research is to determine maternal complications. perinatals in twin pregnancies attended at the Matilde Hidalgo Hospital in Procel in 2017. A descriptive, observational and retrospective study was carried out by collecting data from the medical records. We found 107 twin gestations had a maternal or fetal risk.
