Resumen
Hoy en día una de las principales causas que contribuyen al deterioro medioambiental es el uso indiscriminado de recursos naturales, además del desecho y acumulación de materiales pétreos que han perdido en parte sus propiedades iniciales de servicio y que se cree que ya no pueden ser reutilizados. En la ciudad de Guayaquil el material fresado proveniente de carpetas asfálticas es acumulado en la Cantera Municipal N° 8, sin que se le dé un uso adecuado generando un impacto negativo al medio ambiente y a la población que vive alrededor, por tal motivo y con la finalidad de reducir el impacto ambiental que genera la acumulación de materiales pétreos el presente trabajo está orientado a identificar mediante ensayos de laboratorio los tratamientos a los que podría ser sometido dicho material para su posible reutilización como parte una nueva estructura de pavimento.
Today, one of the main causes that contribute to environmental deterioration is the indiscriminate use of natural resources, in addition to the waste and accumulation of stone materials that have partially lost their initial service properties and that are believed to no longer be reused. In the city of Guayaquil, the milled material from asphalt binders is accumulated in the Municipal Quarry No. 8, without being properly used, generating a negative impact on the environment and the population living around it, for this reason and with the purpose of reducing the environmental impact generated by the accumulation of stone materials the present work is aimed at identifying by laboratory tests the treatments to which this material could be subjected for possible reuse as part of a new pavement structure.
