Plan de manejo integral de desechos peligrosos en la Clínica Integral del Adulto y Adulto Mayor – Guayaquil.

Resumen
Los desechos peligros son considerados como una gran amenaza en contra del medio ambiente y en especial a la salud humana, por tal motivo es importante proponer un buen manejo integral de desechos peligrosos para garantizar la calidad del servicio en salud, el no cumplimiento del Reglamento en la Red de Servicios de Salud del Ministerio de Salud Pública nos permitió plantear el objetivo de este estudio que es diseñar un Plan de Manejo Integral de desechos peligrosos como propuesta para ser aplicado en la Clínica Integral del Adulto y Adulto Mayor en la Facultad Piloto de Odontología, siguiendo una metodología de análisis in situ de la clínica con la finalidad de mejorar el cumplimiento a las normas ambientales, para ello se realizaron y analizaron encuestas, se clasificaron los desechos para obtener la cantidad generada de estos en la clínica odontológica. Obteniéndose como resultado desechos infecciosos 47.2 kg semanal y dando un total anual de 1510.4 kg, referente a la encuesta se realizaron un total de 13 preguntas donde las más relevante son de conocimiento sobre tratamiento de Desechos Infecciosos dando un total de 88.3 % que desconocen el proceso a seguir. El FODA realizado a la institución reveló los incumplimientos en la clasificación, transporte, tratamiento y gestión de desechos infecciosos, por lo cual se realizó una capacitación al personal docente, estudiantes y de servicio para el posterior diseño del plan integral de manejo de desechos que fortalezca la calidad de la atención y capacitación de la Clínica.
Hazardous waste is considered a great threat against the environment and especially human health, for this reason it is important to propose a good comprehensive management of hazardous waste to ensure the quality of the health service, non-compliance with the Regulation in the Health Services Network of the Ministry of Public Health allowed us to propose the objective of this study that is to design an Integral Waste Management Plan for hazardous waste as a proposal to be applied in the Integral Adult and Older Adult Clinic in the Pilot School of Dentistry, following a methodology of in situ analysis of the clinic in order to improve compliance with environmental standards, for this purpose, surveys were carried out and analyzed. Waste was classified to obtain the quantity generated in the dental clinic, obtaining as a result 47.2 kg of infectious waste weekly and giving an annual total of 1510.4 kg, referring to the survey there were a total of 13 questions where the most relevant is about knowledge of Infectious Waste treatment giving a total of 88.3% who are unaware of the process to follow. The SWOT performed to the institution revealed the non-compliances in the classification, transportation, treatment and management of infectious waste, for which a training was given to the teaching, student and service personnel for the subsequent design of the integral waste management plan that strengthens the quality of the attention and training of the Clinic.
