ESTUDIO DE LOS INSTRUMENTOS DE EVALUACIÓN DEL DETERIORO COGNITIVO DEL PROYECTO “PROMOCIÓN Y PREVENCIÓN DE LA SALUD MENTAL Y EVALUACIÓN PSICOSOCIAL EN ADULTOS MAYORES

Resumen
La presente sistematización se basó en el Estudio de los instrumentos de Evaluación del Deterioro Cognitivo del Proyecto “Promoción de la salud mental y evaluación psicosocial” donde el proceso que se mantiene, tanto en el asilo como en el proyecto mencionado, con respecto a la evaluación de cada paciente no dan un resultado concreto con respecto a la evaluación del deterioro cognitivo, por lo que es importante detectar el deterioro cognitivo a tiempo para prevenir. Sin embargo los instrumentos que se utilizan generan información que no resulta acorde a lo observado, por lo que las intervenciones llegan cuando el deterioro cognitivo ha avanzado y ha generado desajustes en el área de autonomía, emocional y en sus funciones cognitivas. La finalidad de la sistematización es evaluar dichos instrumentos utilizados en el proceso de diagnóstico del deterioro cognitivo en adultos mayores en el asilo Sofía Ratinoff de la ciudad de Guayaquil, además de contribuir con los conocimientos adquiridos durante la carrera que se evidenciaron en el servicio comunitario. La metodología de la presente sistematización fue cualitativa, descriptiva, de carácter exploratorio y se utilizó un modelo teórico neuropsicológico, para comprender el constructo del deterioro cognitivo. El procedimiento de esta sistematización utilizó las siguientes técnicas: observaciones, entrevistas individuales y tests psicológicos cognitivos. El resultado que se obtuvo con los instrumentos escogidos fue que es necesario aplicar entrevistas y observaciones individuales y no basarse en un modelo estándar, sino que sea personalizada, además que los tests deben ser acorde a los parámetros establecidos en la sistematización

However, the instruments used generate information that is not consistent with the observed, so that interventions come when cognitive decline has advanced and has generated imbalances in the area of autonomy, emotional and cognitive functions. The purpose of the systematization is to evaluate the instruments used in the diagnosis process of cognitive deterioration in older adults in the Sofia Ratinoff asylum in the city of Guayaquil, as well as contributing with the knowledge acquired during the career that was evident in the community service. The methodology of the present systematization was qualitative, descriptive, of an exploratory nature and a theoretical neuropsychological model was used to understand the cognitive deterioration construct. The procedure of this systematization used the following techniques: observations, individual interviews and cognitive psychological tests. The result obtained with the chosen instruments was that it is necessary to apply interviews and individual observations and not based on a standard model, but rather on a personalized basis, and that the tests must be in accordance with the parameters established in the systematization
