Resumen
El estudio se realizó en el departamento de rehabilitación y terapias, área de
lenguaje del Hospital del Niño “Dr. Francisco de Icaza Bustamante”. Se explora el
manejo que presentan los pacientes con lesiones de origen neurológico y el trato
adecuado del terapeuta de lenguaje y el padre del menor, a través de un plan de
intervención para mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente, comprende el progreso del
paciente al momento de deglutir los alimentos, mediante ejercicios para mejorar
desde su postura hasta su forma de alimentarse. Mediante una muestra de 25
pacientes guiándonos en una secuencia de actividades al momento de ejecutarla.
Algunos padres no tienen conocimiento del manejo de sus hijos desde la postura,
luego con apoyo del profesional se visualizó el avance. Al concluir el trabajo de
investigación se consiguió la aprobación de los padres de los menores al notar el
avance que obtuvieron sus hijos
