Resumen
La estimulación sensorial es un área de la rehabilitación que es usada para mantener un
equilibrio y bienestar entre los procesos internos del cuerpo y los agentes externos mostrando
una mejor acción frente a los estímulos brindando la experiencia necesaria para la vida. Este
proyecto tiene como finalidad dar a conocer las diferentes técnicas, ejercicios y métodos que
podemos aplicar a niños prematuros dentro y fuera de las instituciones hospitalarias y mostrar
la importancia de la rehabilitación a nivel sensorial, principalmente en niños prematuros
extremos, donde su desarrollo sensitivo íntimamente ligado a su parte motora se encuentra
mayormente alterado. Todos los niños prematuros independiente del tipo que sea según su
clasificación por tiempo de gestación, necesita una atención primaria de salud, para identificar
a tiempo los diferentes rasgos sensoriales afectados y poder tratarlos aumentando la calidad de
vida del niño, y brindar un ambiente de seguridad en la familia, pero esto es un tema que aun
en nuestro país no se le da la importancia necesaria. Donde observamos un déficit en el
mantenimiento y seguimiento a nivel sensorial de los niños prematuros, siendo este un pilar
fundamental para su desarrollo y bienestar social.
