Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo caracterizar la atención sanitaria de perros y gatos atendidos por la Brigada Veterinaria del Municipio de Guayaquil. Además, se realizó un marco teórico que fundamenta la importancia de la no sobrepoblación de perros y gatos en las ciudades, describiendo las consecuencias principales de este acontecimiento .Se estableció el número de perros y gatos atendidos por las brigadas y la importancia de que se realice esto en otros cantones. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo descriptiva documental en la que se usó información otorgada por las brigadas para tabularlas, analizarlas y llegar a las principales conclusiones del tema.
The objective of this research was to characterize the health care of dogs and cats assisted by the Veterinary Brigade of the Municipality of Guayaquil. In addition, althea recital frame work was made that supports the importance of not overpopulating dogs and cats in cities, describing the main consequences of this event. The number of dogs and cats served by the brigades was established; the impact that this caused in the city of Guayaquil and the importance of this being done in other cantons. The methodology used was descriptive documentary in which information was used by the brigades to tabulate, analyze and reach the main conclusions of the topic
