correspondientes a tobas silicificadas meteorizadas, tobas cristalinas gruesas metamorfizadas y
tobas finas silicificadas.
The objective of this study was to determine the petrographic classification of the rock outcrops in Section 2 (E 637,625; N 9'742,907 WGS84 Zone 17S) and the structural domain for the research area. The results were obtained from 13 rock samples; the same ones, which were described macroscopically and microscopically, were also carried out chemical analysis of major oxides and minor elements and the mapping of discontinuities for each outcrop. The petrographic characterization was carried out by determining the modal mineralogical compilation of each sample, texture and granulometry. To determine the chemical composition, the induction analysis of coupled plasma was performed; obtaining 2 results. The determination of domains and structural elements was carried out through the statistical validation of discontinuities controlled by lithology. Three types of lithologies were identified, corresponding to meteorized silicified tuffs, metamorphosed thick crystalline tuffs and silicified fine tuffs. The identified structural elements corresponded to foliation planes and diaclases systems. Three structural domains controlled by lithology and preferential orientation of discontinuities were determined.
