Resumen
Dentro de la odontología restauradora la toma de color es muy importante para
la estética dental, es la que define la aceptación o la inconformidad del
tratamiento por parte del paciente, en la actualidad se utilizan diferentes métodos
para la toma de color, se la puede realizar de manera manual con la ayuda de
guías de color, o por la ayuda de un espectrómetro, siendo el primer método el
más utilizado en la actualidad, este proyecto de tesis tiene como objetivo
principal determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre la técnica de toma de color
en prótesis fija con estudiantes de la Facultad Piloto de Odontología de la
Universidad de Guayaquil. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo cuali-cuantitativa
que permitirá cuantificar los resultados de la encuesta aplicada a estudiantes de
noveno y décimo semestre, teniendo una muestra de 246 estudiantes de una
población total de 640, donde se formularon preguntas sobre el uso de luz natural
para la toma de color al momento de realizar el tratamiento, así como, identificar
el grado de conocimiento y uso del espectrómetro. Los hallazgos sugieren que
hay estudiantes que toman un descanso visual para obtener resultados
favorables en la toma de color, también piensan que las paredes del consultorio,
así como la ropa del paciente, al mismo tiempo que reciben su atención pueden
alteran la toma de color. En general, se evidenció que el nivel de conocimientos
en los alumnos es favorable en lo teórico y práctico
In restorative dentistry, the taking of color is very important for dental aesthetics. It is what defines the acceptance or nonconformity of the treatment by the patient. Currently, different methods are used for the taking of color. It can be performed manually with the help of color guides, or with the help of a dental spectrophotometer, being the first method the most used today. This thesis project has, as main objective to determine the level of knowledge about the technique of taking color in fixed prostheses with students from the Pilot Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Guayaquil. The methodology used was of qualitative-quantitative type that will allow to quantify the results of the survey applied to students of the ninth and tenth semester; having a sample of 246 students from a total population of 640. Questions were asked about the use of natural light to the taking of color at the time of carrying out the treatment, as well as, identifying the degree of knowledge and use of the dental spectrophotometer. Findings suggest that there are students who do take a visual break in order to obtain favorable results in the taking of color, they also think that the office walls, as well as patient´s clothing while being assisted, alter the taking of color. Over all, it was evidenced that the level of knowledge in the students is favorable in the theoretical and practical aspects.
