Resumen
La prótesis parcial metálica removible nos ofrece un aparato funcional útil que el paciente retire e introduzca en la boca, distribuyendo las fuerzas excesivas que tienen los dientes remanentes en boca, de esto depende el fracaso o el éxito del tratamiento que se realiza.
El objetivo primordial de este estudio es reemplazar los dientes perdidos para tener una cavidad bucal con función estética, fonética, masticatoria, incrementando los principios biomecánicos que son los siguientes: retención, resistencia de la prótesis al desplazamiento vertical en sentido cervicoclusal; soporte, resistencia de los pilares y la mucosa al desplazamiento vertical en sentido oclusocervical; estabilidad, resistencia de la prótesis que evita el desplazamiento en sentido horizontal durante los movimientos funcionales de la masticación.
El diseño de este estudio está basado en una metodología inductiva-deductiva con una bibliografía amplia para adquirir conocimientos y tener un resultado exitoso al desarrollar correctamente la prótesis parcial metálica removible.
En conclusión, la rehabilitación del paciente edentulo con prótesis parcial metálica removible reintegra las funciones perdidas y también considera una relación integra entre la prótesis y las estructuras remanentes, de esta manera mejorando la salud y la calidad de vida del paciente
The metal removable partial denture offers us a useful functional device which the patient removes and inserts into mouth, distributing excessive forces that have teeth remaining in the mouth, this depends on the failure or success of the treatment carried out. The primary objective of this study is to replace missing teeth to have an oral cavity with aesthetic function, phonetic, masticatory, increasing the principles biomechanical which are as follows: retention, resistance of the prosthesis to the vertical displacement in direction cervicocclusal; support, resistance of the pillars and the mucous to the vertical displacement in direction occlusocervical; stability, strength of the prothesis that prevents the scrolling horizontally during functional movements of mastication. The desing of this study is based on an inductive-deductive methodology with a wide bibliography to acquire knowledge and have a successful outcome to properly develop the metal removable partial denture. In conclusion, the rehabilitation of the edentulous patient with metal removable partial reintegrates the lost functions and also considers an integral relationship between the prothesis and the remaining structures; thus improving the health and quality of life of the patient
