The pregnant women who were investigated have ages between 20-40 years. A total of 109 pregnant women were analyzed where the average age is ± 28 years, the predominant intergenic period is the short one, that is, less than 18 months and whose most frequent gynecological and obstetric antecedents were the deliveries followed by the abortions. It is disappointing that the largest percentage of the female population has no knowledge of what an intergenic period is and the perinatal complications it causes.
