VIOLENCIA PSICOLÓGICA Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA DISFUNCIONALIDAD FAMILIAR EN ADULTOS MAYORES DE LA FUNDACIÓN NURTAC

Resumen
La violencia ejercida desde la familia hacia el adulto mayor es sin duda un fenómeno de naturaleza multicausal, instaurando un problema social. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la violencia psicológica y la disfuncionalidad familiar en adultos mayores de la Fundación NURTAC en el Sector Guasmo Oeste. La metodología empleada fue de enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance correlacional, el diseño fue no experimental y corte transversal. La población y muestra es no probabilística e intencionada, constando con 15 adultos mayores a partir de 65 años de edad, con sospechas de problemas familiares y violencia psicológica; que asisten a la casa comunal “25 de septiembre” de la Fundación NURTAC, en el programa “Espacios activos con alimentación” en el Sector Guasmo Oeste de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Se aplicó el Cuestionario de violencia y valoración del riesgo familiar junto con la Prueba de Percepción del Funcionamiento Familiar (FF-SIL). Obteniendo como resultado que el total de la muestra presenta violencia psicológica, además de evidenciar de forma indirecta quince casos de violencia física y ocho casos de violencia financiera. Se encontró ocho casos con disfuncionalidad familiar y cinco con disfuncionalidad familiar severa. Según el método de Spearman se encontró correlaciones no significativas entre las variables violencia psicológica y las dimensiones de disfuncionalidad familiar, lo que no aprueba la hipótesis alternativa que indica que existe una correlación positiva entre la violencia psicológica y disfuncionalidad familiar en adultos mayores en la fundación NURTAC en el Sector Guasmo Oeste, y a su vez no rechaza la hipótesis nula que indica que existe una correlación negativa entre la violencia psicológica y disfuncionalidad familiar en adultos mayores en la fundación NURTAC en el Sector Guasmo Oeste
Violence performed by the family towards the older adults is undoubtedly a phenomenon of multifactorial nature, instituting a social problem. The present investigation had the objective of determining the relationship between psychological violence and family dysfunction in older adults, who are members of the NURTAC Foundation, located in the western side of El Guasmo. The methodology used was the quantitative approach, with a correlational-reach study; the design was a cross-sectional, non-experimental study. The population and sample group are nonrandom and deliberately chosen. The population is 15 older adults, who are 65 or older, with suspicion of family problems and psychological violence; who attend the communal house ‘25 de Septiembre’ of the NURTAC Foundation, under the program ‘Espacios activos con alimentación’ in the western Guasmo sector of the city of Guayaquil. The questionnaire of violence and familial risk assessment along with the Test of Familial Functioning Perception (FF-SIL in spanish). Obtaining as a result that the totality of the population lives with physical and financial violence. There are 8 records with familial dysfunctionality, and 5 with severe familial dysfunctionality. Furthermore. According to Spearman's method, no significant correlations were found between the variables psychological violence and the dimensions of family dysfunctionality, which does not approve the alternative hypothesis that indicates that there is a positive correlation between psychological violence and family dysfunctionality in older adults in the NURTAC foundation in the West Guasmo Sector, and in turn does not reject the null hypothesis that indicates that there is a negative correlation between psychological violence and family dysfunction in older adults in the NURTAC foundation in the West Guasmo Sector, the hypotheses of this research
