PERCEPCION DEL RIESGO Y RECURSOS DE AFRONTAMIENTO ANTE EL CONSUMO DE ALCOHOL Y OTRAS DROGAS EN NIÑOS DE 9 A 11 AÑOS

Resumen
El presente estudio tuvo lugar en la cooperativa 10 de agosto ubicada en el cantón Durán, provincia del Guayas. Se enfocó en dos variables internas muy importantes; la percepción del riesgo y recursos de afrontamiento ante el consumo de alcohol y otras drogas en niños de 9 a 11 años. Como objetivo se plantea la descripción de la percepción del riesgo y recursos de afrontamiento ante el consumo de alcohol y otras drogas, además de explorar los factores de riesgo y de protección con los que cuentan estos niños para poder prevenir futuras conductas de consumo temprano. La investigación se orientó bajo un enfoque cualitativo con diseño fenomenológico, lo que permitió profundizar en las variables estudiadas, la información fue obtenida a través de la aplicación de una entrevista dirigida a padres, otra dirigida a los niños, además del Cuestionario Argentino de Afrontamiento para niños de 8 a 12 años y la técnica de observación conductual. Los resultados indican que los niños tienen una alta percepción del riesgo al consumo de drogas ilegales, sin embargo, su percepción del riesgo ante las drogas legales es baja. Se detecta también la existencia de ciertos estilos de crianza autoritarios, con tendencia a la agresión física y/o psicológica que podrían no estar desarrollando recursos de afrontamiento funcionales en los niños para prevenir situaciones de consumo a futuro
The present study took place in the cooperative August 10 located in Durán, province of Guayas. The study focused on two very important internal variables; the perception of the risk and resources of coping with the consumption of alcohol and other drugs in children aged 9 to 11 years. The objective is the description of the perception of the risk and resources of coping with the consumption of alcohol and other drugs, and in addition, the exploration of risk and protection factors that these children have in order to prevent future behaviors of early consumption. The research was oriented under a qualitative approach with phenomenological design, which allowed to deepen the variables studied, the information was obtained through the application of an interview aimed at parents, another aimed at children, the application of the Argentine Coping Questionnaire for Children from 8 to 12 years old and behavioral observation technique. The results indicate that children have a high perception of the risk of using illegal drugs, however, their perception of the risk against legal drugs is low. It also detects the existence of certain authoritarian parenting styles, with a tendency to physical and / or psychological aggression that may not be developing functional coping resources in children to prevent future consumption situations
