Resumen
El Comando de Policía Durán está ubicada en el cantón Eloy Alfaro Durán, en la Parroquia el Recreo, el mismo que cuenta con un Centro de Salud ,con un profesional médico y un odontólogo , está ubicado en las instalaciones del Cuartel centro de Durán, en las calles Riobamba y Manabí. Este centro de salud no cuenta con un Reglamento Interno para el funcionamiento del Departamento Médico y Odontológico, si bien es cierto a Nivel Nacional existe un Reglamento Orgánico Funcional de la Dirección Nacional de Salud de la Policía Nacional que determina las funciones y acciones a realizar por los profesionales de la salud, en este caso no se cumple en su totalidad porque no se adapta en función de la necesidad y realidad del Centro de Salud de la Policía de Durán, debido a que los profesionales deben realizar funciones que le compete a otro personal, o deben movilizarse según se disponga a otros sitios aun cuando están atendiendo en otras ocasiones deben dar prioridad de atención sin ser emergencia solo por el nivel jerárquico; el objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el proceso de funcionamiento del Centro de Salud de la Policía Nacional del Comando Sectorial del Cantón Durán y la metodología aplicada fue descriptiva , no experimental con una muestra de 150 miembros policiales, realizada en 6 meses, obteniendo entre los resultados que el 67 % de los usuarios manifiestan que no se les respeta el turno de atención, el 97 % indica que el tiempo de espera es mucho , el 93% manifiesta que no tiene ningún tipo de privacidad en el momento de la atención, lo que determinó como conclusiones que no se cumple con el propósito establecido, existiendo insatisfacción del usuario atendido y como recomendación plantear una propuesta de Diseño de un Reglamento Interno para el Funcionamiento del Departamento Medico Odontológico del Comando de Policía del Cantón Durán.
