Resumen
El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el gasto público del Ecuador y su incidencia en el crecimiento económico del Ecuador durante el periodo 2010 – 2018, analizar la tendencia y estructura del Gasto público, analizar el comportamiento del crecimiento económico y medir la relación existente entre el Gasto público y el crecimiento económico, generándose la hipótesis de que, si el gasto público está estrechamente relacionado con la variabilidad del producto interno bruto. En el proceso del trabajo se consideran las diferentes teorías económicas, entre ellas las teorías keynesianas y en contrapuesta la ley de Wagner. Para lograr desarrollar el presente trabajo se ha incurrido en adquirir toda información estadística – económica, relevante al tema en las diferentes instituciones, tales como son el Banco central del Ecuador, La Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), el Banco Mundial, entre otras, para medir la relación existente del gasto público con el crecimiento económico se utilizó el programa eviews tomando los datos anuales y trimestrales del 2010 al 2018, en ambos caso se demostró que el Gasto Público si mantiene una relación directa con el PIB del Ecuador
The objective of this paper is to analyze public spending in Ecuador and its impact on the economic growth of Ecuador during the period 2010 - 2018, analyze the trend and structure of public spending, analyze the behavior of economic growth and measure the relationship between the Public spending and economic growth, generating the hypothesis that, if public spending is closely related to the variability of gross domestic product. In the work process, different economic theories are considered, including Keynesian theories and in contrast to Wagner's law. In order to develop this work, it has been incurred to acquire all statistical - economic information, relevant to the subject in the different institutions, such as the Central Bank of Ecuador, The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the World Bank , among others, to measure the existing relationship of public spending with economic growth, the eviews program was used taking the annual and quarterly data from 2010 to 2018, in both cases it was shown that Public Expenditure does maintain a direct relationship with the GDP of the Ecuador.
