Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la situación actual de los recursos turísticos del cantón Eloy Alfaro Durán para diseñar un plan de desarrollo turístico. Luego de realizar el análisis de los recursos turísticos se encontró la problemática que es el desaprovechamiento de los recursos turísticos, esto se debe al desconocimiento del potencial turístico por parte de los pobladores y de los gestores del turismo en el cantón, y da como resultado la poca intervención en lo que refiere a turismo en Durán. Para el levantamiento de información se llevó a cabo un tipo de investigación mixta en la que se efectuaron entrevistas, encuestas y la observación, los mismos que permitieron identificar el estado de los recursos turísticos, los proyectos a corto y largo plazo que planifica la dirección de turismo de Durán. Con todos los datos adquiridos se pudo diseñar el plan de desarrollo turístico para Eloy Alfaro Durán.
The objective of this research work was to analyze the current situation of the tourism resources of the Eloy Alfaro Duran canton to design a tourism development plan. After carrying out the analysis of the tourist resources, the problem that is wasted of the tourist resources was found, this is due to the ignorance of the tourism potential by the inhabitants and the tourism managers in the canton and it results in little intervention in terms of tourism in Duran. For the collection of information, a type of mixed research was carried out in which interviews with experts, surveys and observation were made to allow the identification of the state of tourism resources, short-term and long-term projects planned by Duran’s tourism management.
