This research work entitled "Hypnosis as an alternative management therapy patient with acute low back pain" arises from the evidence of increased hospitalizations in Ecuador for acute low back pain being the cause of physical disability, affecting the quality of life, making treatment less costly and invasive as hypnosis in managing the disease should be considered to reduce or eradicate this problem. The aim of this study is to determine the usefulness of hypnosis in the treatment of pain in patients with acute low back pain in the formal public Health system. The methodology is qualitative and quantitative analysis because it allows from a conceptual theoretical perspective, but taking into numerical data. Among the results achieved is the satisfaction of respondents regarding treatment with alternative therapies in the management of back pain in 78% of patients, because of the improvement in function of time, as evidenced by the 88% expressing short term and 100% of respondents expressing no manifest adverse effects after treatment, being 100% interest of patients that hypnosis is implemented as an alternative therapy. This evidenced the need to design a proposal to show the Quito sociedaden as hypnosis is an effective alternative treatment option for management of acute low back pain and is not considered in health plans this type of alternative therapy as an option.
