Resumen
La pancreatitis aguda se caracteriza por presentar dolor abdominal de inicio súbito asociados
con el aumento de niveles de las enzimas pancreáticas digestivas en sangre, orina y la alteración
de un proceso inflamatorio, además se encuentra elevado el nivel de amilasa y lipasa.
La atención de enfermería en pacientes pediátricos con pancreatitis aguda constituye un
papel indispensable para contribuir a mejorar la salud de los individuos, razón por la cual se
realiza el presente estudio tomando en cuenta diseñar un plan educativo para el personal de
enfermería. Como objetivo se propuso mejorar la calidad de Atención de Enfermería en
pacientes pediátricos con pancreatitis aguda en el Servicio de Oncohematologia del Hospital
Pediátrico Baca Ortiz del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, durante el periodo Enero - octubre
del 2016. El diseño y tipo de estudio es cuantitativo de tipo observacional, descriptivo,
transversal y retrospectiva, dentro del cual la muestra quedo integrada de 15 pacientes
diagnosticados con pancreatitis aguda, la información fue recolectada mediante la revisión de
las historias clínicas.
En la presentación de resultados a través de cuadros y gráficos se evidencio que el personal
de enfermería necesita estar preparado para la atención adecuada al paciente con pancreatitis
aguda, concluimos que los factores sociodemográficos, biológicos y administrativos afectan en
la salud de los pacientes.
Acute pancreatitis is characterized by sudden onset abdominal pain associated with increased levels of pancreatic digestive enzymes in blood, urine and alteration of an inflammatory process, in addition to elevated levels of amylase and lipase. Nursing care in pediatric patients with acute pancreatitis is an indispensable role to contribute to improving the health of individuals, which is why the present study is carried out taking into account the design of an educational plan for the nursing staff. The objective was to improve the quality of Nursing Care in pediatric patients with acute pancreatitis in the Oncohematologia Service of the Hospital Pediatrics Baca Ortiz of Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, during the period January - October 2016. The design and type of study is quantitative of an observational, descriptive, transverse and retrospective type, in which the sample was integrated of 15 patients diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, the information was collected through the review of the clinical records. In the presentation of results through charts and graphs it was evident that nurses need to be prepared for the appropriate care of the patient with acute pancreatitis, we conclude that sociodemographic, biological and administrative factors affect the health of patients
