Resumen
El pie diabético es una de las causas principales de consulta en instituciones de salud,
debido a que los trastornos de esa parte de la extremidad inferior varían, van desde
pequeñas lesiones hasta la amputación. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue analizar los
factores de riesgo asociados con la amputación de pie diabético del servicio clínica de
varones en el hospital del IESS Portoviejo durante periodo enero – junio 2016, estuvo
dirigida con un enfoque metodológico cuantitativo, de corte transversal, con una
población y muestra de 118 paciente que fueron ingresados a la unidad. Siendo los
criterios de inclusión: pacientes hospitalizados que tenían pie diabético, excluyéndose a
quienes presentaban en sus historias clínicas pocos datos. El mayor porcentaje de
pacientes ingresados oscila entre 61 – 70 años de edad, el 34,7%, de ellos fueron
amputado 52 pacientes con el 44,1% con más de 10 años de evolución de la enfermedad
con 36/52 69,23%, la mayoría de paciente era de nivel socioeconómico bajo con un
74,6%,7. El 75% de los pacientes amputados necesitaron ayuda psicológica. En
conclusión la diabetes mellitus y sus complicaciones, de manera especial pie diabético,
presenta algunos factores de riesgo como: emocional, social, económico, y laboral; por
tanto, se hace necesario establecer políticas pública de salud para prevenir este tipo de
patologías
The diabetic foot is one of the main causes of consultation in health institutions, because the disorders that part of the lower extremity vary, ranging from minor injuries to amputation. The aim of this study was to analyze factors clinical and epidemiological risk associated with leg amputation in patients with diabetic foot clinic service men in the hospital IESS Portoviejo during period January to June 2016, was addressed with a quantitative methodological approach , cross-sectional, population and sample of 118 patients who were admitted to the unit. As inclusion criteria: patients hospitalized with a diagnosis of diabetic foot and excluded patients with medical records with insufficient data. The highest percentage of hospitalized patients ranges from 61 to 70 years of age, 34.7% of them were amputated 52 patients with 44.1% with more than 10 years of evolution of the disease 36/52 69.23 %, most patient was low socioeconomic status with 74.6%, 7. 75% of patients needed psychological help amputees. In conclusion, diabetes mellitus and its complications, especially diabetic foot, it presents some risk factors such as emotional, social, economic, and labor; therefore, the establishment of public health policies aimed at primary prevention is necessary.
