Resumen
Este trabajo de investigación es un estudio retrospectivo que nos permite constatar el gran número de pacientes que acuden al Hospital Universitario de la ciudad de Guayaquil, presentando lesiones maculares hipopigmentadas e hiperpigmentadas en la superficie de la piel. Además nos permitió identificar con exactitud cuáles son los grupos más vulnerables, factores de riesgo más frecuentes que conllevan a estos pacientes a padecer de Pitiriasis versicolor, con el fin de poder establecer un plan de acción direccionado a medidas preventivas con la finalidad de disminuir el número de casos con esta patología y de esta manera poder mejorar el estilo de vida de ciertas familias de la ciudad.
Se pudo establecer que el grupo con mayor incidencia son los adolescentes, cabe recalcar que unas de las causas de adquirir lesiones superficiales en la piel, es el estado climático cálido y húmedo que tiene la ciudad de Guayaquil.
Esta investigación es factible porque está respaldado por la observación en el entorno del Hospital Universitario y recolectado en la realidad del objeto de estudio y bibliografías obtenidas de libros y fuentes virtuales. Por lo tanto se pudo dar a conocer a los pacientes ciertas medidas de prevención y se les recomendó seguir las instrucciones dadas por los médicos especialistas del hospital para una pronta recuperación de los pacientes.

This research is a retrospective study that allows us to note the large number of patients attending the University Hospital of the city of Guayaquil, presenting hypopigmented hyperpigmented macular lesions on the surface of the skin. It also allowed us to identify exactly what the most vulnerable groups, factors more frequent risk associated with these patients suffering from Pityriasis versicolor, in order to establish an action plan directed to preventive measures in order to decrease are the number of cases with this pathology and thus to improve the lifestyle of certain families in the city. It was established that the group with the highest incidence are teenagers, it should be emphasized that one of the causes of acquiring superficial skin lesions, is the warm and humid climate state that the city of Guayaquil. This research is feasible because it is supported by the observation in the vicinity of the University Hospital and collected in the reality of the object of study and obtained bibliographies of books and online sources. Therefore it was possible to inform patients and certain prevention measures are recommended to follow the instructions given by medical specialists of the hospital for a speedy recovery of patients.
