The objective of this research is to know the: Prognostic Value of CA-125 in monitoring patients with Ca Epithelial Ovarian, although not the most common type of cancer in women is one of the most aggressive and difficult diagnosis and survival is the lowest compared to other cancers. A descriptive study was conducted - Prospective Case, setting a standard sequence for data collection. In Latin America, and especially in our country, studies related to the utility forecasts of Ca-125 in epithelial ovarian cancer are rare. In order to establish the prognostic value of Ca-125 in the monitoring of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, a study of case series was performed in 100 patients with this diagnosis, registered in the Abel Gilbert Ponton Hospital 2009-2014. Age, PS score, summarized clinical stage, histological type and levels of Ca-125, and mortality: as variables were included. Among the patients studied predominant age under 60, PS score of 0 or 1, and clinical stage III papillary mucinous cystadenocarcinoma as histological type. The preoperative Ca-125 has no value for predicting duplicity of Ca-125 monitoring and if prognostic value for tumor progression and mortality, but the discriminating power is not optima KEYWORDS: Ca 125, epithelial ovarian cancer, prognosis
