Resumen
Las técnicas de higiene bronquial en pacientes pediátricos con bronquiectasias no fibroquísticas, es de importancia en el tratamiento fisioterapéutico respiratorio, para evitar obstrucción e infecciones respiratorias recurrentes por el aumento de secreción bronquial. El objetivo de esta investigación es describir las técnicas de higiene bronquial aplicada en los pacientes pediátricos de 3 a 16 años de edad con bronquiectasias no fibroquística en el hospital del niño “Dr. Francisco de Icaza Bustamante” en la ciudad de Guayaquil en el periodo 2014 hasta el 2019. En el presente estudio se empleó la metodología de investigación no experimental con diseño descriptivo, retrospectivo. El análisis y descripción de los datos obtenidos en el centro hospitalario demostraron un total de 18 pacientes, la cual 13 pacientes le aplicaron maniobras fisioterapéuticas no instrumentales, 2 pacientes las maniobras fisioterapéuticas instrumentales y en 3 pacientes se utilizaron ambos tipos de maniobras, la estancia hospitalaria promedio de los pacientes fue de 23 días, con un máximo de 135 y un mínimo de 1. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se evidencia, que la mayor aplicación en los pacientes del estudio son las técnicas de fisioterapia respiratoria no instrumental, concluyendo en la sumatoria que las maniobras fisioterapéuticas se deben utilizar para alcanzar los objetivos planteados de manera eficaz.

The objective of this investigation is to describe the bronchial hygiene techniques applied in pediatric patients from 3 to 16 years old with non-fibrocystic bronchiectasis at “Hospital del niño Dr. Francisco de Icaza Bustamante” in the city of Guayaquil in the period from 2014 to 2019. From the results obtained, it is evident that on most study patients non-instrumental respiratory physiotherapy techniques were applied, concluding that physiotherapeutic maneuvers should be used to achieve the objectives effectively.
