Resumen
La cubierta es el elemento constructivo del edificio, que en general está formada por la mayor cantidad de diferentes materiales. La cubierta contemporánea está compuesta por diversas capas, principalmente de: Acabado y protección, de aislamiento térmico, de estanqueidad y de formación dependientes. En la práctica habitual, estas exigencias se resuelven con materiales que tienen en un alto grado de independencia y heterogeneidad entre si. Las cubiertas no solo desempeñan el papel de protección contra los agentes climáticos para privacidad sino que también debemos considerarlas como un elemento estructural y soporta su peso propio y las sobre cargas que actúan sobre el mismo ya sea por el uso, el viento, la nieve, las vibraciones de la calle sismos, etc. Trasladando estos esfuerzos térmicos.
